Dear Juno (or any teenage parent in this situation),
What you did was entirely your fault and could have been easily preventable. It's hard to forgive you when you had the knowledge, the resources, and the common sense right in front of you but you still made a terrible mistake. It's possibly the worst situation you could get into as a teenager in high school. It seems to me that you took the first steps and pressured Bleeker into having sex that day. If you knew you wanted to have sex, then you should have gone to the store and buy some form of birth control. You weren't embarrassed when you bought the multiple pregnancy tests, so you should have felt comfortable enough to buy birth control.
Although you displayed immense irresponsibility by getting into this situation, you did the right thing and tried to make the best of a bad situation. By deciding to keep your child to term and put it up for adoption, you proved that you would be dedicated to the whole process, and you were. I think you made the best choice regarding your child's life and I am proud you did the right thing in the end. Adoption will always be better than abortion. The next time you want to have sex, just make sure you're prepared.
